2025

Idea

I’m picturing a fake download popup for the serial novel I wrote this summer, called Pulp!, as if it’s a program “Pulp! 2025” being downloaded on the 2005 iMac my mom let me play Webkinz on. More or less.

The logo above is a hyperlink to the main site page, but that page has no navigation here. The first few pages of Issue One have a basic explanation.  The plot involves a few different schemes surrounding a data center being turned digital, so I thought it would be fun to print it out in little booklets (hence the scans on the main page of the website) and send them to people in the mail. To my surprise, a lot of my friends kept up with it, and, in the end, I had a circulation of about 90 copies per issue.

So, logically, I’m throwing everyone a party to celebrate! And, to say thank you to everyone, I thought a fun idea would be to print out a lot of these on iron-on paper and let people make their own souvenir shirts. I know it’s kind of silly, but the whole point is just to have fun, so I’m trying not to take it too seriously.

Let me know if you’re down! I have no idea how to make any kind of cool shit like this, and I’ve been having fun asking some people to help me make things I can’t make myself along the way, so I thought it would be fun to see if you’d want to help with this. I don’t even know how much work this kind of thing would be, so hopefully my eyes haven’t gotten bigger than my stomach again. Let me know if this is wild.

Free party invite, t-shirt, beer and snacks in return--and lunch sometime!
